We are hosting a New Entrepreneurs Small Business Forum on

Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.  Please join us to review

our small business resources and have an open discussion on what

issues and concerns small business owners have with their federal

tax responsibilities.

Small Business and HR - Headaches or opportunities? 

Small business owners find themselves having to address, understand and cope with a wide range of HR issues.  Should they be seen as headaches or opportunities to strengthen your business?
Canton Regional Chapter of SCORE has retained four local HR experts to conduct a workshop that will focus on:
  • Key HR issues for small business owners - both for-profit and non-profit
  • Employment law - and its myths
  • Determining whether a worker is an employee or contractor
  • Recruiting and what you need to know
The workshop, which will include case studies, will be held on Tuesday, July 7 in the Conference Center on the campus of Kent State University-Stark Campus.  It will begin with sign-in and registration at 8:00 and workshop runs 8:30am to 11:30am.
